The apparatus consists of a steel or carbon fibre cylinder with a combined cylinder valve and pressure reducer, a supply hose to the hood, and a carrying bag. The user activates the ELSA by opening the bag, which automatically releases a pin that’s attached with an activating strap. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eThe constant-flow hood features a cubic design with a large visor area for peripheral vision, while an ori-nasal inner mask prevents misting and reduces carbon dioxide dead space. The flame-retardant PVC-coated material is flexible and, along with an ozone-resistant elastomeric neck seal, helps provide ease of donning over spectacles, beards or long hair. The black antistatic polyurethane bag is available for those in potentially explosive atmospheres.
